Seven services, one accountable desk
A cotton trade fails at the joins — between the broker and the warehouse, the warehouse and the lender, the lender and the transporter. We hold those joins together, because they all run through the same network.
Cotton & Yarn Broking
The core desk: matching physical cotton and yarn between ginners, mills, traders and exporters.
We sit between the ginning yard and the mill floor. That means knowing which ginner is pressing what this week, which mill is short, and what a fair basis looks like on the day - then holding the contract together from confirmation through delivery and payment.
- Cotton FP bales and cotton yarn, across 12 states
- Counterparty introduction, with a read on credit from both sides
- Contract terms, delivery scheduling and payment follow-through
- Daily basis and arrival intelligence from the mandis we cover

Hedging & Risk Management
Risk programmes built around the physical position you actually hold, not a generic futures view.
A ginner long unsold lint and a mill short forward yarn carry opposite risks. We build the hedge around the position that exists: how much is open, over what horizon, against which benchmark, and what basis risk is left once the futures leg is on.
- Position mapping - open physical exposure by lot and horizon
- Hedge structures on ICE Cotton #2, NCDEX Shankar Kapas and MCX
- USD/INR exposure for exporters and importers
- Basis risk assessment: benchmark against your grade and location
- Ongoing mark-to-market review, not a one-time recommendation

Warehousing
Storage at accredited facilities across the network, positioned near the ginning belts and mill clusters.
Cotton that has to move immediately sells at whatever the day offers. Storage buys the option to wait. We place stock in accredited warehouses across the network, with the documentation that makes it financeable.
- Accredited warehouses near ginning belts and mill clusters
- Warehouse receipts suitable for pledge finance
- Stock condition monitoring and insurance coordination

Trade Finance
Working-capital structures arranged through our banking and NBFC network.
The cotton season is a working-capital problem before it is a price problem. We arrange the facility that lets you hold the position you want to hold, through lenders who already understand this commodity.
- Bill discounting against confirmed sales
- Pledge finance against warehouse receipts
- Finance against Letter of Credit for exporters
- Introduction to lenders active in the cotton trade

Quality Inspection & Testing
Independent HVI testing and pre-dispatch inspection, so the grade on the contract is the grade in the truck.
Most cotton disputes are quality disputes. Independent testing before dispatch turns an argument after delivery into a number both sides agreed on beforehand.
- HVI testing - staple length, micronaire, strength, trash, Rd/+b
- Pre-dispatch inspection and lot sampling
- Third-party laboratory coordination
- Documented results both counterparties accept

Transportation & Logistics
Movement from ginning yard to mill gate or port, through transporters the network has already used.
Freight is a real part of the delivered price and a real source of delay. We coordinate movement through vetted transporters and keep the consignment tracked to the gate.
- Ginner-to-mill and mill-to-port movement
- Vetted transporters across all 12 states
- Consignment tracking and delivery confirmation

Custom Software Solutions
Trade, risk and brokerage software built by HSK Techlab Private Limited, our sister concern.
The systems we built to run our own desk are available to the trade. HSK Techlab Private Limited builds brokerage suites, position and risk dashboards, and market-data infrastructure for commodity businesses - including the live futures feed behind this site's Market Data page.
- Brokerage and trade-management suites
- Position, exposure and risk dashboards
- Market-data feeds and integrations
- Built for the commodity trade, by people who broker it

Not sure which piece you need?
Most conversations start with a position and a problem, not a service name. Tell us what you are holding and we will tell you what actually helps.
